First off let's get some stuff clear because we've had some issues with what to expect in our guild

We dont play the game the way most other guilds do. If you're playing for yourself - this probably isn't the guild for you.
We dont have a group of 10 who do everything - and everyone else is there for them.

Why do I say that?

Because we dont really care that much about the game. This is a casual guild - with lots of folks who used to run in hard core raiding guilds who got sick of the politics and the 'this is a job' approach. I dont think we've ever yelled at anyone. We set up times for raids that no one shows up for... we go on raids with others and lead DPS/Healing charts all the time - but dont finish end game content because we cant be bothered. If that bothers you - you probably want to look for a more serious guild.

This is normal for us.

It's not going to change.

If someone passes out drunk at the keyboard during a fight - that's ok. We laugh about it. We dont get pissy and bitch about them. You never see us say 'who's fault was that' when we wipe - it's far more likely to say 'well, that didnt work' and laugh. We dont really get frustrated... if someone is doing something wrong repeatedly we work around it rather than bitch at them to do it differently (though to be honest there have been times when we've had to nudge a bit more forcefully... 'Tura if you dont move you're going to die' comes to mind). You will hear me nudging... 'dont stand in the fire... really, you dont want to stand in the fire... that big blue DBM warning that says 'you're standing in fire' - yeah - you should probably move'... and then you'll hear mal on vent telling me to get the hell out of the fire.

Now.

1 - you probably want to get vent. You dont have to talk - but it keeps me from having to spend 10 minutes typing crap out. I'm not going to make you do it though - and it's only been an issue a couple times. DBM/Omen are more important. If you're going to raid with us - you want to install a couple addons. Ask us if you're unfamiliar.

2 - stuff in the vault. If you can use it - for your character - take it. We put it in there for people to use - so dont feel bad when you take stuff out. That said - the stuff in there is for you, not for you to AH or DE for mats or give to a toon in another guild etc. You should know better than that.

3 - money in the vault. It just sits there. We dont do anything with it. Dont complain about repair bills because I dont (and i promise mine are bigger). Hell - if Tura wants to use it to buy a mechanohog that's fine by me.

4 - we give stuff to each other. If i have titansteel in my bank and someone needs it they can have it. I dont care. It helps them - it does me no good.

5 - dont get butthurt if we're off doing progression content and you arent there. I'd back out in a sec in some of this stuff if someone else were tanking it - and i'll unceremoniously dump far from groups so others can get emblems (i did it last night). We try to spread it around - but we're a small guild - so there are days when you're not going to get to do the daily, or come on an Uld raid, etc.

6 - speaking of raiding - read this about raiding and gear

7 - 'can someone run me through x'. No. You will never learn to play your class if you get dragged through instances all the time. Many of us have lower level alts that can run the lower level instances with you - IF we're not busy... but with the 3.2 gear reset we're all pretty swamped trying to regear each other. I've run plenty of guildies through ZF etc at some point - because they had some quest and wanted to do something they couldnt do - when there was nothing else going on. We've had days that were devoted to lower level content for those that need it... but if you log in and the first thing you do, every time, is ask to be run through something, is pretty much the second fastest way to my ignore list (the first being named Nicolai).

8 - wowhead and elitistjerks are your friends. If I needed to know where to go for a certain quest i looked it up... if i needed to know whether I should itemize for strength or haste in my dps spec i went and read about it. Take the game offline - read about your class - see what spell rotations others are using and why - you'll learn a lot.

This is a guild of mostly adults - with a few kids sprinkled in (several related to said adults). The tone on vent or in guild can get a little too raunchy sometimes (as with all these games) so keep the audience in mind and tone it down. It's not as bad on ours as you see it on other vents though - we're mostly pretty quiet. Now note, I have one of the foulest vocabularies of anyone i know - but i'm perfectly capable of reigning it in when there's munchkins around. Also - we tend to treat the girls a bit more respectfully than you might find in other guilds... just how we roll i suppose. Dont let me catch you calling a girl a name... it wont end well.

Guild Officers... we dont really have any. That'll probably change before Cataclysm - but we have a long time to figure that out. Personally I like that it's flat. Anyone can start groups, anyone can set up raids, just ask. Note - people wont show up - because real life trumps game - so dont get upset.

Alts - alts in general dont generally get promoted to officer. We dont treat alts any different from mains - except that it's not terribly cool to have to gear 5 of your chars when someone else needs stuff for one. We do tend to bow out of groups on our alts when there are mains on that need something.

Representing the Guild - remember, when you're in a pug or some mixed guild group you're representing all of us. Dont be a jackass. Horde is such a small population on this server, people generally know each other. Being told a guildy is in Org begging for gold is NOT on my list of favorite things to deal with... so lets keep all the begging, the trade chat spam, the getting sucked into some idiot argument between Dynasty jackasses trying to wind you up, the efforts to corner the copper bar market - to a minimum please.

We try to keep real world polarizing crap out of the guild. If you're a racist IRL - well i'm sorry for you - but keep your outgrouping behaviors focused on gnomes if you would. I personally dont wanna hear it.

I agree with everything Skull said here. I'd sum it up in one word: "respect."

There's a big difference between needing help and asking someone to play the game for you. As long as you treat everyone with respect and don't act like their time is less important than yours, then we're good.

I would like to add one thing, though. This is Tura's guild. It is her baby, and she works very hard behind the scenes to keep the tone light and make sure that we have people who'll treat each other well. I am not interested in any gossip, innuendo, or accusations, especially with respect to our guild leader. I can assure you that I will not react favorably to any attempts to turn other players against her.

yup! now, as i TOTALLY agree with both Far and Skull, we are very small. we all get along(for the most part. im not naming names) and we all are very happy together! =) i like to think of us all as one big happy family. with Tura as the big Mommy, that loves and protects all of her kids, and, as weve seen, she doesnt play around when some jerk comes in and trys to do only for him/herself. and with Far, Mal, and Skull(if im forgeting, i am truely sorry. i dont have the best of a memory, and im not all the smartest), as the Dads of the guild. =) and it is a GAME!!!! so have fun! =D not many people can have too much fun in the world anymore. so dont take the privelage away from those of us. alright. that preety much sums all of my current thaughts up. oh. wait. one last note, yes. i am a guy, and yes i am 13. i also intended for my name to be Racheal(that was taken by me on a different trial) so, ive gottten used to Ry. i quite like it =) ok. now that it. dont mean to just sound like im just rambeling on or not making sense. its very hard for me to speak my opinion with out being critisized.

I agree with all that is said here.

Respect is a two way street, Respect others and you in turn will be respected.

I do agree with all that is said. I want you to know that I will back our GM and Skull and Far in all they decide. That being said, I want to appologize when I put my foot in my mouth and say things that aren't what I mean. I do get in trouble at home for the same thing. So I try not saying much. Don't take my being quiet as not being friendly. I would anything I am able to, to help anyone. I have slowed my play because I think I may have hurt some ones feelings, I am sorry, that is not, and never will be my intent. I love this Guild! I have been in some very bad ones, even one with our GM.

hehe. just something ive been thinking about lately. had to get it off my chest. dont care if you guys read it or not. but when Skull said that we dont do alot of raiding, and that they have never yelled at anyone, its true. i would know. of all the times ive hit the wrong thing, or wiped a group, or killed myself, weve just giggled. said what io did wrong. corrected it, and moved on. pfft. and besides. if they let me do all these awesome things, with as little dps as i have, that just shows you how awesome we truelly are. (just a side note. i know my spelling and grammer sucks. im sorry.) oh, and one more last thing. . if i can make a raid on time (5 o clock) something bad prolly happened at school, or something else liek that, because i stay after for my school technichal thearte(lighting, sec, ect) and dont get home till 6 server time. so just something to tel ya as a heads up, because like all of us, i have my bad days as well. =) ok. thanks for letting me blab on and on. i really appreaciate it =D ty, love ya all -Rycheal
